Since several months the Alona Vida Resort can offer the long-awaited fresh water supplies for our Guest.

Panglao Island consists mainly of Limestone, and therefore has an insufficient fresh water occur. Most resorts have been supplied in the past with a slightly salty or brackish water. Fresh water was delivered by Tanker from Tagbilaran in 25 km distance! The actually gained fresh water comes from a modern brackish Desalination Plant (reverse osmosis) in the hinterland of Alona Beach. A large part of the hotel facilities and the environment can be supplied now with clean water.
A supply directly from the main island of Bohol to Panglao Island has long been planned, but until now could not be realized.
